The choke or enricher is not an all or nothing device. Try it at half operated or 3/4 maybe.
It should be operated just enough to maintain an idle speed just a tad above normal.....and without stumbling. That means gradually reducing it as the bike warms and the idle speed increases.
It is unnecessary and not good to let the idle speed race with the choke/enricher on fully.
P.S. If you haven't lately, now would be a good time to run some carb cleaner through with the gas......unless you are about to put it up for storage......in which case you would use fuel stabilizer instead.
