Here I am preparing to leave for Americade with a couple of extra (as yet unplanned) days in New England afterwards when I pull from my mailbox the latest issue of RoadRUNNER magazine featuring Green Mountain State (i.e. Vermont) Shamrock Tour. Perfect timing!

Leaving in the morning for Binghamton. 551 miles per Garmin Basecamp. Expecting to reach Lake George between 12:30 and 1 PM on the 9th.

Have a safe trip Art. That time of day I will most likely be on the bike, so please send me a text when you are in town and I will reply at my next stop.

Thanks. It will certainly be large. After Americade I'll wander around New England for a week (visiting relatives here and there) then head to Virginia for the ESR. If all goes, well I won't be seeing home until the 26th.

Made it to Binghamton. Long, cold day -- never got past mid 50s. (High of 54?) Was originally thinking of walking to NYSEG to catch a ballgame. Considering temps and (the little bit of) rain I rode through, that idea was scratched. Got to check local forecasts but am not expecting to get started early. Gonna let it warm up a little.
