If anyone's interested, there are a few gathering the weekend of the 23rd, 24th of September, 2016 in Woodstock, VA for a nice ride through the Shenandoah Mountains.

Rooms can be had at the EconoLodge on S. Main Street in Woodstock for $60/night. that's where we'll start and finish on the 24th.

C'mon out and meet some new friends (or even re-meet some old ones).

I'm not the one organizing the actual ride itself... just lettin' people know that it's on and the more, the merrier!!! Mike St. Almand (used to be on here as Saint) has mapped out a nice long ride for that day.

Thinking about it. Key will be progress on remodeling the downstairs bathroom between now and the ECR.

Have you let @Paulie know? That's practically in his backyard. (Well, after he rides 4 hours to Winchester and gets out of the metroplex.) He doesn't come here anymore; lost his password. FB.

Well, that sure is in MY backyard! The 24th, huh?...

The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not 'Eureka!' (I've found it!), but 'That's funny...' - Isaac Asimov

So bathroom project is NOT advancing well but still plodding on. Other developments are making my chances of getting there better. Can't possibly leave before the morning of the 23rd (as of right now) and have yet to determine route or an ETA. I'll be working on it this week while making my way to the ECR. (Leaving tomorrow morning to get there for dinner on Wednesday. Why? Because I haven't logged enough BRP miles this year.)

On edit: Scrapped tomorrow's plan to ride BRP from Waynesboro to Fancy Gap because headlight failed 10 miles from home. Not the bulb. Cleaning connections got everything back until I switched on the high beam. Spending today debugging, I guess.

Another edit: Looks like a tough 511-mile / 11-hours-in-the-saddle day. Best start I could expect to make gets me to Woodstock late for dinner if everything goes well. I'll play with the route while at the ECR -- and -- see if maybe I can knock off four (or so) hours on the 22nd. Not making any commitment but this does seem doable.
