Thanx Helek_52. It was exceptionally kewl! I am so proud of my daughter. Two days on the MSF 250cc Rebel then straight to a 800cc Suzuki Intruder.
After 15 hours on the Zuki, a trip in the Sierra's. (Not for the timid).

No way we gonna sleep on da ground! We took 2 air mattresses. One was a backup cuz we knew one had a leak bud did not know which one.
Luckily for us it was the single height mattress that had the leak.
Still no easy chore gettn up off the double. Kinda had to roll out. Sleeping bags were brand new Walley World cheapo's. A little tight for my full figured body. And the zipper kept sticking.

We are watching craigslist for a cheapo motorhome to take to the Pashnit BBQ. You can use our tent and air mattress, IF, we get the motorhome. That way you don't have to pack one with you.
If we get stuck and have to use the tent, you can still share it with us, it has 4 rooms. But you will won't get much sleep as I can't be quiet after 1am. Toss and turn, zip up, zip down, toss and turn, zip down, then zip the tent zippers up and down, walk to the out house, then sit outside making noise until I get bored, the again with all the zippers.
Then a lot of hum hawing as I wait for the first glimpse of light, then again with all the zippers, then rattling through the gear looking for coffee stuff. And finally, the soft tossing of dice while I play Yahtzee all by myself hoping someone will get up and keep me company.

The moon really tricked me on our third night. I thought it was dawn, so I got up only to find out a 1/2 full moon puts out a lot of light on a clear night. It was 2am and I had no computer. Sigh.

I feel for ya on the weather up there. It's been pretty messy down here too. But a whole lot warmer.
