No rocks were used to wash the bike. It's a daily rider, and has been that way for quite a few years, now. Most of that is from taking the fender off an on SEVERAL times, and having LOTS of trouble getting it back on, as well as almost 15 years of constant use, almost 50k miles, and sitting in the sun. First time I had the fender off was to replace the taillight with the Billski cateye. Then, I modified the rear turn signals to make them running lights, and then got the backrest, and then I changed the rear turn signals to small bullets, and then added more LED lights on the back on the backrest, and then had trouble with the lights, so had to take it all back apart and put it back together working, and then change out to a Mustang seat, and then changing out the rear signals again, and changing taillight bulb to LED, as well as remove the seat about half a dozen times or more to change out the battery, replace the 3-yellow wire connector, and install a fuse block, and hard mount my saddlebags, which have also been replaced twice. That backrest I have is a PITA to install, and takes quite a few tries to get it on and get the bolts through it! Does that explain all the damage to that rear fender? I've been thinking about replacing the whole thing with one from either a VLX or a VT1100, with that flip tail fender, but I don't have the $, and wife doesn't want me sinking any more into this bike anyway, since I want a bigger bike, like a VTX, so I guess I'm stuck with it.

All good... My bike is by no means showroom condition either. That last pic just really highlighted your ride's "character".

(Sorry, I was just being a bit of a jerk.)

I'm going to try again this month lol.
For all to consider here is my 84 VT700C.
The bike a resurrection project rusted and in pieces when I bought it. I took it to the frame and restored it best i knew how on my own. Engine is 100% stick with OEM equivalent parts. The carbs are rejetted up 2 sizes and needles shimed 0.6 mm. The exhaust is stock headers which are wraped with turnout slip one slightly baffled. The paint is of course is not original but admittedly not anything to be considered custom with the possible exception of the faint ghost flames on the top of the tank. Well there it is for better or worse lol.

Cool The Phantom Returns!!!

Here it is a new month and another opportunity to enter my Phantom in the BOTM.

Below is a list of what has been added to the bike, mods that I have done and items that I have made for the bike.

Opt-7 Headlight
River Road fork bag
Hopnel tuxedo tank tie
LED mini strobe auxiliary brake light
Clutch and brake levers with skull ends
Turn signal diode mod
Hondaline saddle bags
Hondaline passenger backrest
Kuryakyn Tombstone bag
Cobra Hi-way bars
SkootWorks handle bar risers
All bulbs changed to LED
LED fog lights
LED driving lights
Auxiliary tail/brake lights
Hi-way bar mounted foot pegs (dually style)
EP-35 turn signal flasher
Custom painted Kuryakyn skeleton hand mirrors
Body parts that were "matte silver" repainted black except for the fork covers.
Headlight and front turn signal bracket raised 1-1/4" with spacers
Custom handmade three pole flag bracket
Custom handmade luggage rack
Custom handmade sissy bar insert
Custom handmaid license plate/aux turn/brake light bracket.

This months pictures were taken at a local cemetery where many of @Shadowangel57 's relatives are buried. I chose this location because it seemed like a natural habitat for the Phantom.
