Possible scenario when one leaves key in ignition -
"Hello, is this the XYZ insurance company?" A: "Yes. How can I help you?" "My bike just got stolen and I need to submit a claim." A: "Sorry to hear that your bike got stolen. Did you leave the key in the ignition?" "Yes, I always leave my key in the ignition." A: "That's too bad. According to your policy, leaving the key in the ignition voids the policy and we will not pay for the loss of your bike." "You have to be kidding me!" A: "No sir, sucks to be you. Have a nice day. Bye."
Yep, kickstand down, shut off bike and remove key.
