Thanks everyone! As always you have come through with some great advice and ideas!
The problem has been solved! I am using the Mossburg cable lock. I found I can hang it from the front fork when I lock the helmet up. It's far away from any hot areas of the engine and shouldn't blow around too much in the wind.
