Wow 9 Years on a Ninja 250!
I had 4 years on my Ninja 500 and I couldn't wait to move up. I am glad it took me as long to do it though. I used to ride standard and cruisers and after a couple years without a bike I had to get back on one and cheap. My decision was between the Vulcan 500 and the Ninja 500 for a new bike cheap. I made the mistake of getting the Ninja. It was a fun bike and a blast in the twisties, but on the highway it was awful. It would maintain speed faster than the Shadow and accelerate faster. But I couldn't ride for over 100 miles without numbness of the (well rather unmentionable here) anyhow after one 6 hour road trip and returning a few days later I knew I couldn't do it again. I moved to OK and decided on these straight roads and heavy winds it was time to move up to a larger bike. I had been wanting a Sport tourer so it would be more comfortable but faster all around than the Ninja 500. After some looking around I decided total comfort and style was more important.
Anyhow you made a great move and glad you are here. If I could have a second and third bike I would have another sporty and a dual sport.
Picture time! Let's see it.
