Was a great weather day here in AZ, some clouds and cooler. I decided it was time for a bike ride, my first on winding mountain roads. From Apache Junction I took Apache Trail for the 10 mile twisting ride to Tortilla Flat. Great scenery along the way and pics can be found on my
Google+ site.
I was no speedster on the corners but I learned a lot and will do the trip again. The road was free of rock debris from slides but there was gravel at intersections for some reason and there were these strange bumps that ran perpendicular and spanned the road making them impossible to avoid. Very unpleasant.
Total trip was 115 miles, fill up pegged the mpg at 58.
