As referred to: 2004 Shadow Spirit 1100 - 82,848 miles all mine and counting.
And then there's my V-Strom 650 - 49,603 miles all but about 10k mine
and there's my 82 Yamaha Maxim 550 - 68,636 all but 11k mine
and the 50k miles on the three other bikes I used to have
All this since I started riding seriously again in 2004. Guess you could say I'm a riding fool.
 Honda’ s, with proper maintenance, are made to run…a long time. I had a 72 Honda that had around 175,000 miles on it when I finally sold it to a friend who collects older bikes. 80,000 miles on an…that “other” bike I won’t mention, is a lot of miles and I would be wary. But a well maintained Honda…f*cker will run for ever. I’ve always believed that riding a bike is better for it than letting it sit. Even when I’ve had a couple of weeks here and there in the winter when I couldn’t ride…I’ll start it up and move it around. I put an average of 22,000 – 25,000 a year on a bike and I expect it to be good for about ten years or over 200,000 miles. Since I ride in all weather…I have a bigger problem with exposure. Rain, mud, salt, freezing cold and HOT hot. :-D
2007 Sabre 8,000 Miles. Our climate is not exactly motorcycle friendly. Probably one of the lower mileage riders, but its in the numbers of smiles per mile. (He said grinning)
2008 Shadow Aero VT750C-28,500 miles. All put on by yours truly. Not one problem with it except for a headlamp bulb that burned out. Of course all the routine maintenance has been done on schedule as well with oil changes every 3000-3500 miles.
