Owners Manual?

I recently bought a 1995 VT600CD. Since deciding on this bike, I have been searching for an Owners Manual. I have been able to find a Service Manual that is close to that year here and I can find Service Manual for it that I can purchase. I guess--think--I am simply wanting an OWNERS Manual. Is there such a critter, or is there only the Service Manual? And if there is such a thing, how can I get my hands on one?

$17 for an owners manual. Seems high...but I don't know. Any opinions on whether or not it is worth it? I plan to also get a service manual. would the service manual do or would both be better? Pretty new to this!

I would just get the service manual. I seem to have misplaced the owner's manual to my bike, but all the info I find that I really need is in the service manual anyways.

1995 VT6000CD Owners Manual

Did you end up getting the Owners Manual?
I just brought home my new for me, 1995 VT600CD tonight...
Been some time since I had a bike again, dying to get it going & ride around some again.
Anyway, if you did, was it worth it?
I download from Tradebit the service manaul...not to thrilled with some of the photo's in it, but for $7.95...not complaining about it.
My color isn't like yours either, but yours sure looks better than mine
Cheers,
T

$17 is not too much to pay for an official owner's manual. Yes, the service manual will provide service info but the Honda owner's manual is always nice to have on hand.

Service manual, especially the Honda Shop manual, will give you everything that you need. The owners manual is kinda like window dressing, it serves a purpose, just not much of one.

I brought my new to me 99 ACE home a few weeks ago and also was going to buy a manual..... until I opened the right side cover and found it there in a plastic bag velcroed to the inside of the cover. Have you checked this yet?

I have only the service manual. I have it on the computer so I can just page down to what I need. If you have a service manual...an owner's manual is kind of moot.

In any given situation...it's not the reality of the situation that bothers people...it's their skewed perception of the reality of said situation that bothers them.
