Turn signal as brake lights

Hey... hate to do this... I remeber seeing a post about converting your turn signals into brake lights. They would be red all the time, turn into two extra brake lights when braking and the turn signal would override them when turned on... Anyone have any recollection of this?

I tried searching the forum but found a gizillion threads about converting to LED and none on this unless it was hit number 2,037... I stopped after 2,036.

Thanks! Winter's coming and planning my upgrades.

Garage
ive seen someone suggest using a hopkins trailer converter that can be picked up for less the 20$ at walmart, napa, advance auto,autozone,etc.etc..i wired my lights up as run/turn lights,i want to later make them brake lights as well, but i havent yet..if i do,ill be using the h.t.c..makes more sense to me to spend 20 vs 100 $ for the same results.

Here is the link for a mod that adds 2 LED sets to the existing housings, no extra lights needed. I did this to my 84 VT500 and it really improved the visibility. They function as running lights, hit the brakes and they brighten. Hit the turns and the existing turns take over and the reds go out.
