Default My 2000 Sabre

What a mess it was :S The guy never cleaned it . it was outside all the time. He painted the front wheel black cause' he was to lazy to polish the wheels.... when I got the paint off the wheels were so oxidized and pitted I had to sand them a compound them out. The paint was all scratched up ...tank dented...front fender gouged...I cursed him the whole time I was working on it....basic care would have cut my job in half. Anyway I painted it , put pipes on it, re jetted, added sissy bar and found 2 chrome 1960 Buick Le saber fender badges. I took a dremel and cut the LE out and cut the pins off the back to make one of a kind tank badges. The chrome script has an ols school feel to it.

After

There was a reason for him to treat the bike that way.. so it could find joy in being handed over to an owner such as yourself.

I love the Buick emblems....nice touch!

Hmmm...I wonder what kind of other "Aero" emblems are out there...?

Thanks for the compliments all.
I always try to add something different when I restore a car or bike and that's what sent me on my journey looking for a unique tank badge.

I have two Le's if anyone needs them

Looks awesome, all the work was well worth it and you can feel that much more connected with the bike. Enjoy the ride.
