That is a good thing!! LOL My first bike was a Naked GL1000. The drive train had a unique whine to it. It was a great size. Then like everything else it got fat and bloated. I would love that thing sized down with a GL1000 motor in it,

It's a high performance rice StreetGlide that will eat up any bagger out there, and probably give most any thing else short of the superbike class a run for its money.

I totally agree....it's just that Kawasaki put out this bike two years ago (?).
You own one.

Still.....if I bump up this may be the Honda that keeps me in the family.

Looks like a Victory Vision to me. I'd ride it except that I have problem with paying the price of a nice car for a motorcycle.

I agree with Trudge, the Valk is the way to go. I'll also have to agree with Convict and say that when I first saw the '13 Old Wing that the styling did remind me of some of the Victory's.

Not that I've ever been a fan of the GW but, while I think that Honda has definitely stepped up the styling and it's nice to see it look a bit more aggressive, the front end is quite ugly in my opinion - it's like an obese CBR.

Speaking of Honda's upcoming line, new CB500 series is also quite unappealing in style, even the '13 CBR has a rather unattractive face lift.

Any speed above 50mph and you're going to need a taller windshield. Then it starts looking more like a traditional GW. I do think it's a sharp looking ride.

Of course, Honda fails with their other cruiser lineups........

Actually Honda started using NOT YOUR DADDY'S GOLD WING back in 2001 when they came out with the 1800.
A buddy of mine took the trunk off his 01 wing and his 07 wing, didn't go for the smaller windshield, just the removal of the trunk.

to me, it is still a "poor man's car", which ironically is too expensive for an average poor man. What makes Goldwing into Old wing is not certain trim options but the philosophy behind that model. As we get older, we tend to appreciate more comforts of all kinds, its totally normal. The level of comfort built into a Goldwing will always make it, if not your daddy's, your OWN Oldwing. I think when I will require such a level of comfort, I'd rather drive a car..

At the end of the day any bike that needs a reverse gear is too much bike.

One of those "Love it, but not in my garage" bikes. I could not justify owning any modern day Gold Wing.

But nevertheless, for someone, all that really has to be is head turning ass jewelry.

I like the blacked out look. For my own use, I need the storage of the trunk.....

Agreed, and for $20k and not having a trunk or a comfy backseat for the wife I just don't see it. I love the looks of it, and think it will be awesome for a solo rider, but I would get a regular wing over this one in a heatbeat.
