Default He or she?

I originally posted this in the new member section, but think its more appropriate here.

So, I've always referred to anything mechanical as she. So when I referred to my new bike as a "she" a friend told me that bikes are "he"s...... What does everyone else think?

Work vehicles = HE
Pleasure vehicles (think boats and hot rods)= SHE

That's my 2cents!

IT.

It's a machine, not a person.

Dave hit the nail on the head as usual.

Saor..besides, what sort of dude wants to ride a he!? Unless that's just how they swing, different strokes for different folks.

That is one thing I thought was probably not the best idea of Harley. "Hey man, what do you ride?" "I ride a Fat Boy!"
