Originally buckskins were often trimmed with a fringe —originally a functional detail, to allow the leather to shed rain off the garment, and to dry faster when it was soaking wet because the fringe acted as a series of wicks to disperse the water.

And now from the poetry corner, an e.e. cummings ode to Buffalo Bill:
Quote:
Buffalo Bill's defunct
who used to ride a watersmooth-silver stallion
and break onetwothreefourfive pigeonsjustlikethat

Jesus he was a handsome man

and what i want to know is
how do you like your blueeyed boy
Mister Death

Owners user name is bradp3t3. I could be wrong but I was thinking that he lives in central or South America somewhere.

I guess it's just a part of my psyche that I can absolutely love something that someone does to their bike that I would not wish for my own. I appreciate the creativity, and work and originality. Just as I appreciate all the clever responses here. That bike has still not shown up yet but if it does I'll shout out. In the meantime I enjoy the humor, little known facts, certitudes and photos.
