Yeah Im gonna try the weather strip seafoam trick. I put lowers on the fairing and forks. I havent got to ride it enough yet to see if that fixed it. Just put them on last week.

I have a strip of weatherstripping around the headlight to solve that issue, still had the issue of my handlebars being over the hand protector's... Just got done here a few min ago with the trash can thingy posted earlier, turned out much better than expected and all of the mounting hardware is hidden behind the fairing so it's not visible from the front, worked out lovely.

When I moved the batwing, I had quite a lot of air coming up around the headlight.. (07 Sabre 1100), so I solved the air situation this way.

I bought a plastic cutting board.. thin material.. at the dollar store.. and cut it to fit around the headlight and punched holes to fit over the faring attachment bolts.. see pics..

It works perfect

First I got the exact radius of the headlight at the right position so to cut the plastic sheet right

Then I centered and punched the holes for the bolts to come thro.. bolted the fairing back on.. the insert is kept about 1/8 in above headlight so it don't scuff the chrome.

I've done some experimenting with shields on my phantom. One thing, on the phantom, is the slant or angle of the shield. The way Phantom shields are mounted is at the same angle(rake)as the front end. I thought by making the "lowers" on the shield...lower...it would cut the wind. It did not. At the Phantom's rake it acts like more of an air scoop. So even if you have a tall enough shield and long enough lowers...the wind will still "scoop" in under follow the shield and blast you in the face. The angle of the shield needs to be more straight up and down in order to block the wind and force it to miss you.

Personally...I like some wind. I am, after all, on a motorcycle. But the excessive "scoop" blast off the Phantom shield WAS a bit excessive.

I got the M/S fairing and a 12inch windshield, puts the air going right over top of my helmet, catches it upon occasion to make an odd noise but keeps about 98% of the wind off my body
