So I thought it might be interesting to discuss how using the Seafoam product improved your motorcycle's performance (or not) . I'll start. I bought a new (to me) '97 Valkyrie, which has 6 carburetors. It had 20K miles on it when I bought it, and looking at the current registration and title, the current owner had ridden it 4k miles in 3 years. The previous owners had ridden it 16k miles in 16 years. So I knew it had sat around not ridden a lot with Ethanol gas in it. At first it ran 'ok' and idled low ... around 600rpm. It should idle at 900rpm +- 100rpm. So I loaded up a tankful of premium gas laced with the recommended dosage of Seafoam and I turned up the idle to 900rpm. I was out riding the next day and at one stop I noticed the idle was @1200rpm. Instantly I knew why...the Seafoam was doing it's work. Next day I turned the idle back down to 900 rpm and it's been there rock solid since. What happened you might ask? The Seafoam cleaned out varnish from possibly several low speed/pilot jets in those 6 carbs and made them behave. Not to mention it cleaned whatever trash was in any other jets. Love this product. George said to me first thing...run Seafoam through it. I told him I already did. I am not affiliated with Seafoam in any way, I just like the product and recommend it to anyone who will listen.
