I had the same problem after 40-50 miles, until I got my Mustang seat. Now, NO pain or problems going 400 miles. Also, I actually moved my forwards a little FURTHER forward, but only about an inch and a half, so everything else is the same, since I have an '03 Spirit 750, also in red. Ergonomics do NOT appear to be the issue, but just poor foam in the stock seat. If you want to keep your seat, you could add a gel pad for about $40-50, but you'll want to cut out a slight dip/hole for it to go in the middle of the foam, so you won't get burned in the hot sun.
