Seat suggestion

The stock seat on my 2012 Aero is great for about an hour to an hour and half. After that the hinder parts are aching and need a break. Now, I am sure that pretty mustang seat will solve the problem, but it's pricey. Anyone have experience with seat covers/cushions?

I used an AirHawk for a short time, then found a deal on a used Mustang. The AirHawk made the long rides more comfortable, but changed my seating position which I didn't like. Get a Mustang, you won't regret it.

I've had good luck with meancitycycle seat modifications. A lot less than Mustangs and very comfortable. Mean City Cycles - Custom Seat Modifications

Tried a gel pad for awhile. What I found was with the gel pad I was able to ride a little longer, but not much. Like you I could go about 60 to 90 minutes. With the gel pad I could go just about 2 hours. On the longer rides I would swap it out. Started with the pad, took it off when I got sore. The change of pressure points allowed me to go about another hour. Then I'd put it back on and could go another 45 minutes or so. The time between got shorter and shorter.

I thought about getting an inflatable pad but after reading a bunch of recommendations I ended up getting a Mustang wide tourer. I can ride all day with it. Still get a bit sore but nothing like before.

Mustang Baby! First mod I made and have not looked back. I have a bad back and can run for hours with the Mustang seat and back rest. Be nice if a motorcycle company could just put a good seat on it in the first place!

i was able to find a used mustang seat on this site... keep you eyes and ears open and alert. i am sure something will come up. being you seem newer to this site, it is very quiet right now being the off season for a lot of riders... everything will pick back up come spring time.

KCCO!!!

When I had my Spirit, I was also dealing with tailbone pain due to an autoimmune issue.
It was very painful BEFORE I got on the bike, riding made it MUCH WORSE.

I needed a solution and found a great one.
I posted about >>here<<.
Astech Seats frequently asked questions including pricing info.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS OPTION.
This is how it turned out...
