VTX1300 Seat on a Shadow 1100?

Has anyone tried fitting any other model seats on 1994 Honda Shadow VT1100?

I'm having a hard time finding a mint seat for the shadow, but theirs so many VTX1300 seats on eBay right now that look very similar.

IF someone knows of any other model that is somewhat a direct bolt-on, please let me know.

Thanks!

Which Shadow 1100 do you have? Sprit, Sabre, Aero, ACE? I really doubt anything from a VTX would easily bolt on. What are you looking for? Stock seat? Aftermarket? If your stock seat is a bit worn, could also just get a new cover for it.

The VTX is most likely inches wider than any shadow, the Sabre may be close to the same width frame, but I doubt it.

This one looks to be in pretty decent shape. It's listed to fit a 94-95 VT1100C.

That's a lot of money for a stock Honda seat.

I had that exact Mustang seat on my '95 VT1100C. Same part #. Fit perfectly. If you look at Mustangs web site it fits '87-'97 VT1100's and '97-'07 1100 Spirits. Part # 75018.

Never said it was a good price. But, I've found as bikes get older, parts become more scarce. The original post did say looking for a, "mint seat". Can't really expect perfect condition and cheap? Besides, it's eBay! Can always make a lower offer and see what happens. You are aware prices are negotiable on eBay... right?

I actually found my Mustang seat sitting on a '97 1100 Spirit on Craigslist. He was selling the whole bike for $1500. I offered him $75 and my stock seat for his Mustang and he agreed. Great deals out there to be found. Just have to look for them.
