Ok I'm not a big fan of leathering up for a ride. I typically just put my doorag on since I have long hair, glasses, and full fingered leather gloves. That's my everyday riding gear. I bought a shinny new leather vest because my wife wanted me to do something with the patches of collected from various rides or just saw and liked. What's the best way to weather it a bit, not ruin it just get the brand new look off it. Any tricks you guys know.
I think anyone should go for this guys "Mad Max" distressed jacket. The only thing you need to be concerned about is who is going to wear the jacket when you drag it behind the car after the acetone rub. You could possibly stuff the jacket with newspapers or find a discarded clothes dummy to drag behind the car.
The engineering students at the university I work at, take their new gold coloured leather jackets, dye them purple and then slam them for hours outside their pub. They recommend putting duct tape on the zippers and snaps.
