Aero or Ace, difference?

I hate to have to ask but what is the difference between an Ace and an Aero? I know what an Aero is but have never seen an Ace. I see a few Ace's for sale and that's why I'm asking. Thanks.

If you're thinking 750s, the ACE was made from 98 through 2003. In 2004 the AERO replaced it. The ACE is chain driven, the AERO has a shaft. The ACE has 2 carbs, the AERO has 1. There are differences in fender shapes as well. I'm sure others will think of other differences. Personally (again, PERSONALLY ) I think the ACE is the better looking of the two bikes.

If your asking about the differences in the ACE and AERO 1100s, also see

Note that you can change years and models to compare a lot of different bikes.

Credit for this comes from Adlowe's March 29 references in the following post:

Here's a photo of an Aero 750, so you can see the difference...

I have to agree that the ACE is the better looking bike. I can't believe how many comments I have been getting about the huge fenders and long lines.

But... I wouldn't mind having that shaft drive.
