Default Im back + Baffle removal for 03 750 ace

hey all,

just recently returned from iraq and got back into riding about a week ago. its so good to be on two wheels again.

anyways i ordered a jet kit and put a k&n on the bike but i like the look of the stock pipe and would rather remove the baffle than buy new ones since im going to get it rejetted anyways.

anyone have a good link on how to do this. is this the famous hole saw mod everyone talks about? i did a search but came up with just a bunch of you tube pics on what it sounds like.

help a guy out

Bobby D

Yep, that be it, the famous hole saw mod. I just used a 2" hole saw and cut the baffles out. No biggie at all. Haven't rejetted, though I might do this over the winter. I will tell you that cutting the baffles out made a whale of a difference in the sound. Welcome back, and let me be the first this morning to thank you for your service to our country.

I did the hole saw mod as per the following link. It certainly doesn.t sound like V & H or Cobras but it does sound a bit sweeter.

I found this website about three weeks ago (www.sa750.com)and was planning on doing this mod this spring or summer. When I went back to it the other day it has been closed and there is something else up instead. Did any of you guys save the PDF file? And if so can you e-mail it to me?
Thanks!!

The owner of the site had some problems renewing. It's back up now.

I just checked it and there is a website for real estate apartments. If you can get it, send me the PDF.
