Where to find crash bar for 85/86 VT500C?

I just bought an 85 500cc shadow (first bike!) and had some work done on it to get it into top shape. I want a crash bar for it, but can't seem to find one anywhere. Neither could the shop the bike's at. Any good ideas? Pretty much all I've heard so far is "ebay" but there's not much luck there either.

Apparently the 750's wouldn't work. It has to be an 85/86 VT500C.

Once a motorcycle has been out of production for a few years, accessories become increasingly hard to come by. Since yours hasn't been produced in a quarter of a century, it's darn near impossible to find something like crash bars! That's why I'm very grateful my '83 Ascot actually came with crash bars.

So yes...the only answer you will hear is "ebay." Keep looking and good luck!

+1 ebay. Mine had them and I gave them away. My wife learning to ride. 3 levers and a windshield later, I wish I had the crash bars back......

I've seen them a couple times on eBay. Almost bought one for my '86, but I've decided I'm trying to keep the expenses on this bike low, and save for something a bit bigger.
