Making stock exhaust louder

Is there a way that i can make my stock exhaust louder and avoid spending the money on pipes at the moment? I ride a 2003 shadow ACE 750. I was thinking it might be possible to drill out the baffles or something. Thanks

There used to be an extremely detailed write-up on that on 750ace.com but I can't find it anymore. I used it to do mine. It went into great detail about how to adjust the carbs afterwards so you don't get any popping.

Oops. Sorry didn't look close enough. I see now that you have an ace and not an aero. Concept is similar if not the same though.

Best of luck and BTW, Welcome. Post some pics of your scoot!

I found the site with the detailed instructions. It wasn't from 750ace.com , it's from Blacktop's Ace. I think the site is now dead but I got the info .

I would just like to add that when I frist did my bike it had a hollow sound. I really didn't like the sound and planed on replacing the pipes when I could afford it. But after time, probably 2 or 300 miles the sound improves. So don't get too upset if the sound isn't what you first expect.

Do you think the sound improves, or you just get accustomed to it?
