Talking Chopping my 2007 Sabre 1100c2

For many many years I have wanted to chop a bike. But only having one bike, that wasn't an option. Well I just got a Sabre as a second bike (my primary is a Goldwing) so I have started chopping it.

I will be keeping a photo log of the changes. It will be a multi-year project just because some of the changes are expensive and time consuming and I want to ride between changes.

I am starting with a solo seat, chopping the rear fender and relocating the license plate. Then I will be working on lighting and in 2012 I hope to rake the front end.

Kingshead: Very nice retro look on that bike. I am going a little different direction but that is very nice. And that color on my thumb did match the bike's natural color...

Oh man, I wish I knew about you earlier. I wanted to put Sabre tins on my red bike, but I could only find every other color sabre with the flames, so I've spent tons of time and money getting the decal flames and paint stripped off, and re-painting. I would have traded you tins from my spirit which would have been great for this project.

Oh well! Best of luck with your project, I look forward to seeing your progress.

I completely understand the desire for the project but it's shame to cut up such a beautiful bike. Best of luck on the project. I hope its more fun than headache for ya.

I finished the project in the middle of summer and really enjoy riding the new chopper.

Sadly, my wife has had some medical issues and now medical bills are piling up so I have to sell stuff to get the bills paid. If anyone is interested in making an offer or knows someone looking I would really appreciate help getting the word out. This really makes me sad but between the wife's health and the machine, it isn't even a choice.
