Default MSC for experienced rider

I've been looking around a bit online to see if there is an MSC that would be appropriate for a guy like me that's been riding for nearly 40 years. I don't really want to take a beginner's course that teaches the real basics. I'd rather take something a little more advanced. I've found a couple, but I'm a little confused as to which one is best for me. One of the courses is billed as a "getting to know your bike" kind of course and is geared towards experienced riders, but I guess I'm more interested in improved defensive riding skills. So far I've been lucky - no street crashes. I would like to improve my chances. So two questions:

Have any of you, as experienced riders taken an MSC?

If so, which course is most appropriate?

Motorcycle safety foundation offers several experienced rider courses.

Looks like your local office is in irvine. If you contact them they can put you in touch with a dealership/place that offers the courses you're interested in. In Pennsylvania all rider courses are free for residents of the state the course is in.

Actually all of them will be benificial. You won't beleive how much of the basics you have forgen and just didn't know. That said I'd start off with a more advanced class. Save the beginner class for when you take the kids or grand kids through one.
My dad am I started taking the classes about 10 years ago, I had 30 years under my belt at that time, Dad 15 years more than me. We did the Basic class and an advanced rider class. I had done a racing school and defensive riding/Police pursuit course, before that. Learned or relearned something each time. If my kids or even grandkids want a bike, I will be going back to school with them.

My Thoughts on the Experienced Rider Course.

Have you taken the BRC, IRC, and/or ERC?

Good food for thought. My oldest son would like to get his ML, so maybe I'll take the beginner course with him - if nothing else, it will be good moral support.
