The other morning it was beautiful but circumstances of the day prevented me from riding the bike. I passed a gas station where a burly guy with a grey beard (like mine) sitting on a beautiful HD softail waiting to pull out. A mile or two down the road, I was in the right lane and noticed in my mirror the HD catching up with me on the left. I was so disappointed in not riding my bike then that just before he passed, I rolled down my window and gave him a thumbs up. He took his left hand off and returned the gesture.

I always heard of "dropping two" for keep both tires to the road - got to say i wave at practically everything 2 wheeled (sometimes bicycles) I rode bicycles every day for 15 years or so for exercise beforei got run off the road in a residential by two cars (punks) chasing each other......ok back to topic my stepson rides a scooter (liquer cycle) and I tried to impart the ettiquette of two wheeled waving to him - he still throws up the entire left hand (hi mom style) to me on the bike or me and his mom in the car ....i guess the all that liquer that lead him to be a scooterist causes memory loss so he cant remember the ettiquette........I do feel a part of something bigger than myself when i pass other riders and we exchange the gesture.....I think the doofus in the car behind must be thinking what does that mean??? Wifey makes fun of me when she follows in the car and i drop 2 on a fellow rider and they dont acknowledge the gesture - she calls me idiot - but that is just par for the course in my world.... i get idiot'd alot.
