VLX 600 Rear Tire (Maximum Size/Width)

I'm going to be replacing my rear tire soon so I was curious if any VLX owners have tried a wider tire? What size did you go with? How wide will fit? Anything else I need to be aware of with a wider tire?

Reason I'm asking...I like the look of wider rear tires.

I tried searching the forum but there are so many tire discussions I couldn't find what I'm specifically asking about.

You can go with a 200/70 15.
That's from the Metzeler website.

the writer is on the vlx on the right, and states "My tire is wider than his due to his being stuffed on the rim, and you'll get the same result, only worse, if you stuff a 200 onto our rim. A 200 is only wider than our stock 170 off of the rim. Once you get it on there, it's a different story"

That's what I kind of figured. However, the bike on the left looks like it might be a 750 Shadow but I'm not a bike expert yet. Those come with stock 160/80 15 tire. If you put a 200 on that rim, I'm assuming it will definitely look narrower than a 170/80 15 on a VLX. But, I'm not sure of the differnce in the wheel width on a VLX versus a 750. I'm probably just going to go with the stock size 170/80 but I just didn't want to go without bring up what I think I see in the photo.
