Mark was kind enough to share this info with me when I had my T, and it was a big difference in handling, both on the road and in town.

I'm not sure if he posted the sizes on the ACE Tourer forum, so you may have to get it from him directly.

Mirror, mirror, on the wall...who's the most beautiful "T" of them all?

LOL! Thanks, Joe!

Here are the tire sizes I installed (Metzeler ME880's)

Front: 130/70-R-18
Rear: 180/70-R-16

The lower profile front tire REALLY makes a huge difference in how this bike handles. You could almost call it a "canyon-carver" (REMEMBER, I said ALMOST!) now. Very easy to maneuver around town and fantastic in tight corners.

As for mileage, I can't speak for that yet. There are folks on the Tourer forum who claim to have gotten as much as 20K miles on the rear and could have pushed the limit a bit more but chose to replace them at that point.

To me, 20K miles on a rear MC tire is pretty decent.

I recommend them.

Metz tires ain't cheap, but you get what you pay for!

I paid $6200 for mine, almost 11 years and 61k miles ago.

Alright mark spike, I apologize for having ignored your bike. There is only so much I can see on my stupid iphone. Completely overlooked it...haha. You have decked that sucker out and it looks great.

What is it that you have hanging off the crash bars?

I got my 98 T last year 6/11 it was my first bike and have put 4,000 miles on it since then. I bought the bike with 49,000 and the bike runs strong. I just had the carbs synced and it made a differance in the performance. As for a daily driver I use it regularly to go back and forth to work 70 miles round trip. Needless to say my balancing skills have greatly improved while sitting in traffic. I do like the bike and have foot pegs on the crash bars so i can extend my legs. It has a Mustang seat and is very comfortable for those long rides. All in all a very nice bike.
