I'll take the opposite opinion. My son's first car was a Miata. Unless you are 5'3 and 110 pounds I think that is a very uncomfortable little car. In my opinion there are much more comfortable little convertibles out there.

The Miata was involved in a hit and run accident and totaled. The next car I bought him was a 3 series BMW convertible which we both liked and was comfortable. There are clean used ones out there at a decent price. His next and current car was my car which I gave him - and Audi TT convertible. Again, much more comfortable than the Miata. Hell I've even seen decently priced used Mercedes convertibles out there.

The Miata was not a bad car just very small and very uncomfortable.

I had the 1999 special addition Miata, beautiful burgandy color with Tan soft top. All wood grain dash, steering wheel, tan leather interior, loved that car. Bought it for my wife, she was scared to drive it in SoCal traffic so I took it.
This was the 6 speed manual model....a rocket and handled like a dream

As much as I liked that car, if I was in the market today....the Audi TT would be at the top of my list

The only convertible I would consider is the new Camaro. I don't want a tiny car.

This is my 01 Miata with 140K on the ticker and running strong. I gave $4500 for it In Oct almost two years ago. Fun car. I thought they were girly cars too but wow what fun.....probably one of the reasons I curbed my riding some this year. Supercharger is on my list of wants.....

I can't see how that car cannot be fun. Very inexpensive to own and operate relative to most other "roadsters" Parts are easy to get.

We own an '08 MX-5. It's the GT with the power hard top and 6 speed manuel gear box. It is a fun little car. There may be more comfortable roasters, but we doubt seriously that any of them combine the Mazda's inexpensive initial cost and dirt cheap maintenance and reliability into the package.

We trudge on.

Can Am? Never been a big trike fan no matter where they put them wheels. Too cold for winter days trying to pick up girls downtown
