Looking at an '04 Sabre

ok, i found a GREAT deal - I think. An 04 Sabre that has been sitting for a year with 9,000 miles on it for $2500. I currently have an 83 750. If I get it, what's the riding difference going to be for me? Power, I assume? Big B - I know you loved your Sabre... so what can I expect?

There won't be better throttle response your 750 wil be alot faster I have a 86 500 and a 95 1100 the 500 will blow the doors of the 1100 and your 750 is even faster. The 80's Shadows ran so much better than their modern day replacements.

Sabre has a Compression ratio of 8:1 while the 83 Shadow 750 has a CR of 9.8:1 - I'd have to believe that even being a smaller engine the 750 will actually make more power.
