He went up(kinda of) over me as I went through the windshield. I had deer hair stuck in my goggles and all over my stocking cap. I can tell you this...having hit a few animals on the road through the years the size of a medium Shepard dog on down...that was a HARD hit.

I can't comment on the bike you are looking at but thank God you are O.K. My father in-law hit a deer once on his bike. He had road rash all over his body. When my wife arrived at the hospital she said it was the only time in her life that she heard her father cry. In late summer when the deer are most active I am always afraid leaving the marina where I keep my boat. Deer everywhere!

late to the party as always but had to chime in.
Glad you survied the run in with the deer and i would suggest the phantom 100%, head to a dealer and take one for a spin when you are feeling better, also get the honda custom seat over the standard imo.

Glad to hear you're still with us and able to tell your story, Charles. The Phantom sounds like a good choice once you're ready to ride again.
Take care, Bro.

Wow, glad you made it through ok! Too many of these around, I think the hunt limits should be raised to trim the herd. I had 4 deer cross my path a couple of weeks ago. I stopped to let them move along and as I started to proceed the buggers decided to change their minds and doubled back.
