as for the bogging... Does it only do it in motion and get worse the faster you go? Or does it do it in neutral revving the bike also?
Mine did that when I ran pods but only in 4th gear and up,played with jetting forever and went back to the stock box. I figured at speed it was ramming too much air in the pods. She would do fine from 0-40 over 40 I had to give it full juice to keep it from cutting out. None of the combinations I ran did anything to help it.

Thanks man. Looks like the local vt500 crowd on this thread lol. Yeah i'm super bummed about mine, i found a point on the frame that buckled so its game over for her. But in better news I bought a new bike yesterday. 1988 Yamaha Radian YX600 that was in a museum its whole life. It has 6000 on the clock and it looks it. Probably flip er for a new shadow

sorry for the delay
for the seat I took a 1"x1/4" piece of aluminum and bent it in a U shape to fit in the seat hinge. I drilled a hole in the bottom of the U shape to put a bolt through to hold it and the gas tank down. Then I drilled a hole on ether side of the U to put the bolt through the hinge and the U bracket. Next I bought some Bolt On Spring Seat Mounts, like these. I found the placement for the mounts on the down bars and drilled the holes. Paced the mounts on and tightened down. then I place the seat. Real simple, but if I were to do it again I would weld a cross bar a bit farther back and put the mounts on that. U bracket ![]() ![]() ![]() Mounts ![]() ![]() I would put the cross bar about where the red line is
