The main reason for the disdain in the rise of what is termed YUPPIE rider had nothing to do with the riding part, rather the buying and selling, as many believe it was the mass influx of the YUPPIES and their money that arifically raised the market price of bikes especially Harleys during the 90's and early 2000's |

Waving is getting to the point of being annoying and unsafe for me to feel sincere about it. I getting to point where I just raise my hand while still grasping the bars if do so then. I'm not a snob but if I'm riding on MC thats speaks for itself. I don't feel theres a need for acknoledgement. As far as scooters are concerned, if they are plated, insured, and have licensed driver on them I'm good. This also means they are powerful enough to be safely driven on the road @ least by IN laws. Otherwise I feel they are PITA to deal with in traffic because they lack the power and/or driver skills on the average. Scooters of yesteryear that had manual gear boxes/clutch taught alot of us riding skills but the ones today seem to lack this important feature.

I clearly stated its rude not too. That being said if you go out of your way to not wave at anyone on the road? Yea your rude. You knew what would happen when you purchased a bike. The main point that I made is of course is I respect anyone who has balls enough to be on the road with two wheels. So I wave. Its my opinion and everyone is free to make their own choices.

I just ain't got no love for yahoos that do stoppies and burnouts, going down the highway doing wheelies and such..no respect either, so no I do not share your opinion of respecting everyone who is on two wheels just because they are out there . |

Been beautiful weather out lately, and yesterday I think I spent more time with my left hand "waving back" than I had it on the grip! Yeah, it can get annoying sometimes... but I do it... for "me", it lets the other rider know "I see you, even if the cage behind me doesn't"
As for mopeds, scooters, etc.... yeah, I'll wave at them too, as long as I'm not in need of my left hand at the moment. BUT, if its a hot girl on a moped... I'll make the effort to wave |

I pulled up on a cute chick rider the other night, as she was in full gear, and had something like Hyperlights for brake lights. I pulled up to compliment the cool brake lights, and was like...surprize....."hey chica!"

And that is also a major reason Southerners here don't care for "Yankees" who stay past a visit. They raised the housing prices, then bring their politics which usually ends up in higher taxes and helmet laws. Thankfully SC is viewed as a backwoods southern redneck rebel flag waving hillbilly state where few would want to live. Lots of riders here. The Harley Logo should be on the state flag. Except that Boeing and now Caterpillar have opened and respectively are opening up manufacturing plants which is a good thing.
