If it gets real cold and snowy here in Richmond, Virginia, I won't ride (obviously). In that event, I will start it up and let it warm up every week - maybe twice a week.

No fuel stabilizer, no trickler, no anything. It doesn't get cold enough to put away a bike for a month or two anyway.

Like the other Californicators I pretty much ride year-round. Except yesterday when it snowed six inches here in the foothills and a few feet in the Sierra.

So much for that mild winter we were having.

Mine only sits for as long as a month during January, and that's because I do maintenance stuff at that time. This year I did fork seals, brake pads, and changed the tires. I'll give it a shot of Stabil (4oz) in the winter, because I don't know for sure when it'll be nice enough to ride. But, the MG has fuel injection, so it's not like the carbs are going to dry out. The Kawi gets winterized with Stabil, Seafoam, and a battery tender--- I change the oil in the spring. I'll start it occasionally, mainly to keep the carbs wet. We can have really cold weather, but usually not for very long at a time.

Shouldn't start you bike during the winter. Get it plugged into a tender or pull the battery. Pull the spark plugs and fog the cylinders, too.

Twice a week, but I do ride thru the winter and I am old. Exercise vs. Winterize.
Why does excercise have an s in it?
