I was out walking the dog this morning when a neighbor down the street from me called me over. He asked me if I wanted to see the great deal he just got. I didn't know he rode so I thought it was a new snowblower or cat waxer or something. As I approached the garage, I saw the rear wheel and lights of a cruiser. It was an 1100 Sabre with about 12000 miles.
Here's the part I hate him for. It came with a corbin seat, Highway bars, a backrest and a beautiful paint job. $1750.00 He bought it from a friend whose wife had bought it for him, but he wasn't comfortable on it. It scared him and he just wanted to be rid of it. My neighbor had it checked at a good bike shop and all it needed was some air in the front tire. Sounds like a good deal to me. Mike

I hate that guy now too! Great deal. On the signal question. I wouldn't worry too much about the signal. Once you kick yourself enough times for forgetting, you will remember. |

I had the same problem before there were turn signals ... I would hand signal and then forget to put my hand back on the grip for a block or two! Sometime I still hand signal but I doubt if anyone thinks I am actually signalling a turn or just chasing flies or waving.

I find my self CONSTANTLY pushing the cancel button. I'm trying to get out of the habit of doing that.

The signals in my truck don't auto-cancel either, and I'm too lazy or cheap to pull the steering wheel and replace the mechanism
NOW, that being said, cancelling the signals on a bike is the same process... you just gotta make it a motor-reaction to cancel the signal... I still forget sometimes, but honestly, I think everyone does occasionally |
