Default Minivans-the bane of my existence!!!

Cruising down Hwy 13 into Springfield, Mo, a beat down minivan comes up behind me in the left passing lane. I'm in the right lane @ about 70ish mph. The minivan has a love seat tied to its top. When it gets up beside me it starts to move into my lane. So I move to the right of the lane and slow down to let it pass. It realized their I was and just passed in the passing lane. My first experience with idiots in cages attempting to kill me. Anyone ever have a similar experience? As a newbie, thought I did well to not panic, although I wonder if I should have sped up and left it behind.

You did right by slowing down. Better to have the idiot in front of you where you can keep an eye on them than having that oblivious driver behind you.

You absolutely did the right thing! I drive to work everyday with crazies here in Norfolk VA. Best to remember even the smallest cager still outweighs even the biggest motorcycle. Road rage and riders do not mix very well.

You need to spray paint their windows black! Not like they check blind spots anyway!

Im only joking of course. Ive always wanted to rip someone's sideview mirror off and say "If you dont use it, you lose it!" But I've always kept my cool. 9 times out of 10 a cage will crush a bike. The other 1 outta 10, the bike is a transformer.

bad idea if the guy is already up beside you... if you scare him which direction do think that minivan will swerve?

I'm from Sedalia, MO so i understand the idiot drivers pretty well. Had a few close calls on my old 250 ninja, and if I can give you any advice if your in the Sedalia area, do not come here when the state fair is in town. You will burn up in traffic.
