I bought the bike on Saturday and this thread will be my build thread.

List of planned mods:

1. V&H Short Shorts - Done
2. Smoked Lights (Night Shadow)
3. LED ground effect lights
4. HID head lights/ Projector head lights
5. Black out engine covers
6. 3m DiNOC around speedometer
7. BOBBER !
8. Automatic flashing of brake light
9. Radar Detector

The bike is still in the shop as I dont have license/permit yet. More pictures to come in near future.

I was looking at a used R6 and saw this bike parked in the show room. It was love at first site. I decided to get it right away but I went home and did my home work on what it is and what it is capable of. I was impressed with the looks and matches my car perfectly. I also looked at HD 883 iron/low and Vulcan 900 custom before pulling the triger.

After looking at insurance prices ($900 for R6 and $411 for Shadow) I decided to go for a Shadow. I dont think I got a good deal but it is decent I guess. It was $7600 without any taxes or fees and turned out to be 8200ish OOTD.

I will paint mine eventually. I've considered going matte OD green with the rest blacked out.

3M DiNOC is a carbon fiber wrap. Its like vinyl and bends when heated with heat gun or hair dryer. Here is a sample pic of DiNoc applied to a cars door trim.



I can help you make your bike flat black. It will cost you less than $50. I actually painted my car flat white using this method. Its plasti dip and you can peel it off if you dont like it.
