I was going to purchase the Shooter for my VLX, but ended up buying the Classic Deuce instead (see pic below) because I thought the higher windshield would be a better fit for me based on all the "What is the right windshield height for me" info I had read.
So, I'd take my advice lightly. It turned out that I like looking well over the windshield and, after much wailing and gnashing of teeth* trying to get the right height and angle, ended up adjusting it as low a possible. For me, it serves it's purpose of keeping the wind off my chest and most of the bugs off my face. If I ever had to replace it I'd get another Memphis Shades, it's a great product, but I'd probably get the Shooter. *My default mode when something doesn't work right is ... 1) Bitch whine, piss & moan for a while, then... 2) Get 'er done. I've been trying to skip the fruitless first step, but after 57 years, it just comes naturally. Still working on it.

Hey folk you need to find what size you need before deciding on a certain style/make shield. Not a one size fits all situation.

When I rode a VLX I installed a Memphis Slims. I thought that windshild worked great on the bike.
