I know ask 100 guys, get 100 answers ... any suggestions for a front tire, stock width, 80/20 city streets/highways?
I should mention I'm as lazy as they come and would prefer to have it installed than try to mess with it myself.

Metzeler ME880s are GREAT.
Avon Venoms get a lot of good press but I've got no hands-on experience with them. Dunlop D404s are cheap. Not inexpensive, CHEAP. A waste of money, IMO. Dunlop K177 (front) and K555 (rear) are a decent pairing but not as good as the ME880s. You can get them in whitewalls if you like that.

I'll be getting this one when the time comes to replace mine:
I just got the matching rear and so far, so good. many people will recommend the Metzler on this forum.

I just got a avon venom 110/90/19, installed on my spirit 1100. Compared to the pirella that was on it, is night and day. I really couldn't believe how much easier it is handling. It's like the bike isn't fighting me anymore, very smooth.
