Default maintenance class...worth it?

The company that I took my MSF class from also offers a motorcycle
maintenance class. You bring your bike in they show you how to do basic things like change the oil, check/change the filter, change the plugs, bleed the fluids, clean & adjust the chain, battery maintenance, valve adjustment...etc

Its a 6 hour course and they charge $160. I have almost zero knowledge about motorcycle maintenance...do you think this class is worth taking?

The cost sounds fair. If they truly show you, hands on, how to do these things, I would give it a shot.
If it's a bust... it wouldn't be first time I'd blown that kind of money for nothing, lol.

I guess it depends. If you are mechanically competent, just buying a repair manual for your bike should be enough and it wlll be far less expensive.. however if yoou have trouble with even basic vehicle DIY projects it may be a wise investment.

It might be worth it if you want to do those things and don't know how to do them. Not a huge amount of money, I think I'd take the course if one was offered here.

I consider myself pretty handy but I've never done any mechanical work though, not even on a car. I guess I could just buy a book, but I think it would be awesome to have hands on training from an expert.

if the money isn't a hardship go for it. can't imagaine anyone not learning something. you might find it isn't for you too. so at least when you take it in for service you will have an idea what they are talking about

I'd take it, that's a fair price for six hours of need tonknow instruction.
