I hope you brought warm clothes, we're having a cold snap right now. Temps were 35 degrees when I got up this morning. No rain in sight, enjoy the trip.

i have 45 minute slide show im posting right now, should be ready soon... If you don't like civil war stuff, 80's rock, or cool scenery, you might not like it...
Ha sorry its so long, but whatever, there were a million other pics that i didn't take that i wish i could have, Crazy off the map places and wild goose chases, dead battery on camera phone, no turn off places to stop etc.... so be lucky it could have been much longer... had a blast, and at little under 900 miles id say it was a legit trip, especially being solo.... Ill share stories when i have time, and the vid when its done...

Ok, one great story.... Im at Antietam national battlefield, outside of Sharpsburg, maryland.... I spent the first half of the morning in Gettysburg, and then second have there... I need to try to get to either Harpers Ferry or Charles Town, WV by night fall, so im kind of in a hurry its about 600. I was told by an older Park Ranger however about a little known Michigan Monument at a Monument on top of a mountain not far from town, it was a little bit out of the way, but i love finding things that others dont get to see. So made it it over to Reno Monument Road, you can look it up its a great road going up to the top of the mountain.. At the very top is a monument to General Reno, also the Appalachian trail intersects there.. however right where the monument was, there is a service road type path... No sign, no nothing... So just being curious i follow that path for a little bit... it goes deep deep deep into the mountain, no signs no lines, nothing, just this perfectly manicured half road... For a bit i think i might be going someplace im not supposed too. Eventually i come to a clearing, and an electrified fence, with a tower behind it... i really think im in trouble, so i turn around and head back....... if you look up Reno Monument road, you will find this unnamed road, and you will see it dead end... Well, come to find out, this is what i ran into.....
