Aftermarket seat and exhaust on it!
HA....That's OK. The only way I would buy that Dyna Low Rider I looked at is if they took $5K and my bike OTD. I seriously doubt they want an 07 Yamaha 1300 that badly. LOL Plus those Harley wings would look silly on My Tacoma window.....Almost as silly as the Toyota emblem on my bike.....

Then a coworker says "I wouldn't have a Harley, cause I don't want to have to mount a toolbox on the back"...he's never even sat his butt on a Harley & he's making stupid comments like that. I told him to ride whatever he wants to & not worry about what me & my dad ride. I personally don't want a Ninja like he rides, but it's fine with me if he wants one. His bike choice doesn't affect me in the least. Like I said in my earlier post on this thread, "RIDE YOUR OWN RIDE, ON YOUR OWN BIKE".
Imay become an HD owner. A guy at work is selling a knuclehead something or other with a kick and an electric start for $2500 disassembled, but 98% there. He's tired of carrying it around in his trailer. I guess I could use a project. Hoping to probably use my overpaid tax refund or sell some guns. I'd hate to see my guns go tho. But it sounds like a good deal.

If I do get and finish it, maybe I can trade it for that pretty Victory Crossroads. ( handing over man card again. )

That's right, Motor Trend rated the 1970 Buick GSX Stage 1 as the fastest Buick muscle car recorded at that time. They timed the 1/4 mile at 13.38 seconds.

More about it's prowess

Wow. Yea that's a little too rare (and pricey) for me to be wrenching on. Nice info though, I'm a sucker for stuff like that.

3- Not really that tough, I think the camaro looks tougher, firebird even more so...
4- Dodge's are just different in a good way sometimes. I'm no mopar fan, just like the style of those cars.
5- Dime a dozen. I live in California, typical car seen on a Saturday morning coffee shop... nothing new happening there, they're all copycats.
6- See above... they all look right out of hotrod magazine... they need to come up with new ideas...

I'm only going on aesthetics, speed and power are ok but not an indicator of style. I can stick a 'vette engine in my 944 and it will still look nice outside (my opinion) and will have the performance only a 350 chevy can deliver vs. my 3L 4 cylinder... with very little changes in handling. I would like to do that someday, but I think that ship has sailed...

I do love the sound of a 350SB with a lumpy cam and some deep mufflers... but it's a style not a performance Issue that I have...

I don't like most of the Japanese cars, bubblegum cars... or just ugly. I test drove a MazdaSpeed 3 and couldn't wait to get back in my Porsche. It felt like a tin can. It skitted on a turn like it needed more weight behind it. It felt cheap. I got in my car and felt German quality. Plus my interior feels and looks better to me.

Harleys look the same, the subtleties are so small that only a connoisseur would know the difference between the models. I like things to say "BAM!!! I'm a ____ ,not, I'm an everyone has." The Porsche Carrera GT for example...BEAUTY from every angle... It's all about aesthetics and not what magazines and TV shows say is cool. Price point doesn't make an ugly car any prettier either.

Now that is a pretty car. Nothing wrong with liking what you like. I was a huge exoticar fan when I was a kid but fell in love with the muscle cars after being around a few in high school.

As for the 'rods, I suppose living in Cali you've become desensitized to them . But I can't help but appreciate the style and creativity when I see stuff like this:

Check out the recovery/overflow tank on this one:

And this air cleaner:

This "just make it work and drive" style just sounds a chord with me.

Cochina? hahahah

Means "dirty girl", and can be meant as a "slut" also.

Isn't more (in the feminine) "tiny car" as in "coche?" But it also works the other dependent on the region.

Yea the name always got a laugh in the parking lots. Of course you couldn't hear the laughter because of the exhaust on that thing.

Rocky Mount huh!! I recruited out of there for a couple of years while living in Spring Hope. My youngest daughter was born in the hospital there. Many fond memories!!

Without spending weeks researching, it seems there is quite a bit more one can do to an HD than to metric cruisers, both mechanically and visually. Where someone earlier described the throttle response as "stupidly touchy" I grinned!! I like that in a bike. The engine in the Softtail I last rode had been hot rodded and it was friggin great. Took less than a quarter twist on the throttle to be screaming down the road. A slight crack of the wrist to blow by someone on the interstate. To the best of my knowledge... which I admit is quite limited, I don’t think Honda puts anything out like that in the cruiser line. The closest I've found to that kind of performance in a metric is the Star Raider... that's one of the reasons I'm going to own one... that and the fact I think they look seXXXy as all heck. I like speed and power. That's why my wife is constantly trying to hide my muscle car catalogs. She wasn’t real impressed to hear I'm pulling the 289 out of my '68 and am going to dump a hot big block crate engine into it. To me, bolting on a loud set of pipes does equate to souping up a bike... or a car.
