Default Help for my 600 VLX

Hey Guys,

I've had my Shadow 600 VLX for just over a month and am really enjoying it. I bought the bike to get some experience riding, and it's been the perfect bike for that. The only complaint I have is I'm a little tall for it at 6'1" and was wondering if there's good setup for highway pegs or an alternative that would help my oversize frame fit on my bike more comfortably. I'm a NOOOB so it's been a little foreign to ever start to look for things.

If a set of freeway bars is the answer I'd prefer something a bit lower profile... but I'm not picky.

Thanks!

You might try looking into forward controls. They can move the pegs even farther forward than they already are.

Thanks Endy, In looking around I found these forward controls to fit my bike. Is this what you mean?

I also found these, if anyone has an opinion on whether highway bars would help.

those are as low profile as it gets I think. See my sig, those are the mc enterprise engine guards on my vlx with clamp on hwy pegs that fold up.

I've got the same set up on mine as Old Dad. They work really well for me, but I'm only 5'4" with a 30" inseam.
The 3.5" forward controls might be the better choice for you.

Default control extensions

Also try Ebay....they have 2 different styles. A more generic type that is under 40 bucks and I think the other is Scoot Mods. $150 ish? Members here have had good luck with both options. Use Honda Vlx control extensions or Honda VLX forward controls as an ebay search and they should pop right up for you
