That must be that same war I did three trips to in 1965..that helped me to get my head straight after a revolution in Africa and a war in Yemen..

If I lived in the states I would wander west then south...

OK !! i have been wanting to explore the gulf coast. Anywhere from Galviston to FL, what are the best places to see and best beeches to go to? I dont like crowds and I dont need exciting nightlife or fancy restaurants. A comfortable place to stay and a few options for meals is fine...

I rode it in the rain the other day.Sucked in the rain.Got to the top of a Mountain and there was a Mystical Line on the road that turned to Dry and Sunny.What a Mind Freak it was

If you have 10 days to just jump on your iron horses and ride, where would you go? We will be starting near Columbus, Ohio. Plan to stay at campgrounds, parks or wherever. I've herd that you can just camp anywhere in the national forest for free, so that maybe an option. Doing in on the cheap, with as many miles as you can.

Simple for me... as I've done this in a car/jeep/truck a dozen times heading out from Columbus area.

Head down towards Gatlinburg, TN then swing over to the coast somewhere in the Carolinas, then head south one 1 till the road ends in Key West, FL...

-- make every scenic stop/detour you can, eat at every odd place you find, drink a beer or two.... just make sure you get a good nights sleep each and every night - even if means coughing up hotel money.

If you do it right you may never come home....

SuperDiver: Take it from a southern - head to Gulf Shores, AL, and head east, spend at least a day or to in Gulf Shores, Ft. Walton Beach/Destin, Panama City, that's the ticket. Did it every summer for years, lots of fun, and pensacola beach has the most beautiful beaches in the world with their white sand.
