Default what would it take to make you ride electric?

Watchhing gas prices climb and figgerin' mileage again.

My bike gets about 45ish mpgs-and we are starting to see cars in the high 30's and 40's (with doors and windows).

It wont be long till we cant claim that we are saving gas on our (gas) hogs.

What are they going to have to do to make an electricmotorcycle that you would ride?
Speaking for myself-i don't see away to make it work.

half the reason i drive the bike is the exhaust, i cant see them making an electric bike that would make any sound worth listening to

I'd ride one if it was given to me for free. Other than that there's really no justification for the costs.

I'd still use my bikes for joy riding, just use the Elec. bike for commuting to/from work.

If I could get an electric sport bike for a reasonable price I would in a heartbeat. Think about it, you have 100% of you power available the instant you touch the throttle! Nothing could touch you if you have the power to back it up.

Like the Mission One: 150 mile range, 150 mph, now if they just bring the price down...

I'd need quick acceleration. Capable of long distance travel. Top speed over 150km/h and a ten minute charge time. Also the battery would have to be guarenteed for life.

Low cost of ownership and long range.

Bike Tones. Make the electric motor appear just as a v-twin. Create faux exhaust pipes that are really speakers. Then, a device that uses an SD card so you can download a wide selection of exhaust notes for your ebike.

You could be a Harley one day, an R1 the next.

lol. You guys crack me up. I really hope those posts about exhaust notes on electric bikes are just joking. I can't even imagine how embarrasing that would be to pull up blasting ANY kind of sound from exhaust speakers, much less a Harley sound. It just screams insecurity and compensation. Look at me! Look at me!

I'm not joking. You could save a polar bear and sound cool doing it!
