I love tattoo's and think they're fascinating. I've come close to getting one, but I've gone almost 57 yrs without. If I got one now, everyone would be saying 'it all started when he got that motorcycle..'

I have four, I am neither particularly proud or ashamed of them. Most of them were done very early in my riding experience, when I thought such things should be done ( they don't need to be ) Of the four the two I would most likely keep if had a chance to do over would be the two on my upper arms

for anyone who is thinking about getting some ink this is the perfect way to describe the pain i have both of my daughters footprints off thier birth certificates on each arm my first and second tatoo all in one sitting piece of cake although the right arm seemed to hurt more than the left the artist said it was probably because that is my dominant side

take your time & have fun designing/deciding what it will be & its significance.
I've wanted to get a 3rd now for about a year but I haven't put enough thought n time into what n where yet

I have 6, the newest is a 3/4 sleeve that is Van Goghs Starry Night made to look like a jig saw puzzle. Still getting it worked on, 18 hours total in three sittings so far for it. My zodiac symbol on my calf, a sunburst on other calf, a Buddha on my left side rib cage, a rhino beetle on shoulder and an arm band.

(chuckle...)...

Well...had an uncle who had probably ten or so-at least the areas that were typically exposed. He "lived the life" and told me not to pursue them-too permanent, and too easy to trace you he said. Funny thinking back on that now...kinda naive when we are dealing with "iris scans" etc.

When I came of age where I could get them if I wanted, I could never justify the cost... Let's see-beer or tattoo? Dope or tattoo? Food or tattoo? Bike payment or tattoo?

Now having lived 50 years without one, not caring if "they" can track me, and being financially able to afford one if I wanted...I've come to realize how unique I am NOT to have one. Many/most people I know have them or are getting them...

Where's the "cool" in that? Someday it'll be like-"Wow! that dude is so freakin' cool man! He's got NO TATS AND NO PIERCINGS! His earlobes ARE NORMAL! Dude's a freakin' FREAK MAN!

And I kinda like it that way...lol...

NOTE: not in anyway judgemental towards those of our community and the greater outlying areas who have, are having, or who dream of having any of the aforementioned body "modifications..."

Peace to all , and to all a "good night"...

No tats, but my ears are pierced. Two in the left ear (1974) one in the right (1997).
