Weather forecasters where calling for wind and possible dust storms today but I had a meeting at school and chanced taking the Shadow. Wind was east at 20 with higher gusts there and back, nothing too bad but coming home and scanning the horizon it saw it, dust. A gust front with blowing sand was headed my way. Sometimes you can out run them based on speed and direction and I managed to do that. Ten minutes after parking in the garage it hit.
National Weather Service meteorologists detected strong outflow winds extending from north of Scottsdale... to East Mesa. The winds should move southwest across the Phoenix Metro area... followed by brief heavy rains. Wind gusts up to 45 mph are expected with this storm. Now we have a severe T-storm warning, so glad to be home.
